About Harpers house
I’m Andi Duckmanton and I started Harpers House Ltd in April 2018.
I am a mum of one beautiful little girl, Harper Olive and one handsome fur baby, Storm. I live at home with my partner Charlie in Tai Tapu, Canterbury where i also do my baking in our registered kitchen.
I am a self taught baker with a hospitality and insurance background. I was also a Contracts Manager with a building company just before I had Harper. In every job I have had, I have always brought in baked goods for my friends and colleagues to try. I love how food can bring people together and bring so much joy to someones day.
I believe people eat with their eyes first. So creating something beautiful as well as tasting delicious is very important to me. My flavours go with the seasons and i will always try to use locally sourced ingredients and organic where possible. some of my local ingredients include Bennetto Natural foods Co 70% dark chocolate - They are organic, Fairtrade, vegan, carbon neutral and made with simple ingredients. Nourish and Thrive Wholefoods is another local small business I love to use for my organic buckwheat flour, dates, aluminium free baking soda and other dry goods.
